Veteran aid worker Johnie McGlade believes that relief might come from an unlikely tool – puppetry. In “No Strings” McGlade teams up with two of the creators of the Muppets to tackle two very different problems – post-tsunami stress in Sri Lanka and landmine education in Afghanistan – though culturally sensitive puppet shows. SYNOPSIS: Style Riders explores the surprisingly diverse culture of custom motorbikes. It surveys the spectacular and often provocative designs, and it probes the motivations and passions of the custom motorbike builders and owners. The documentary also explores the “birth” of custom motorbike culture in America, its historical development, and the role of Hollywood in its public perception, as portrayed for example in “The Wild One” (1953) and “Easy Rider” (1969). Style Riders poses many questions about custom motorbikes, such as: is it art? Is it bad taste or good taste? Is it an expression of personality, or just an attention grabber?

This issue became highly controversial when a plan was unveiled to make this a reality. Farming Our Seas looks at the environmental and cultural implications of the possibility of fish farms in the Gulf of Mexico.

SYNOPSIS: In March 2010 the United States awarded the Congressional Gold Medal to nearly 300 women, all over the age of 86, who flew fighter planes for the Army Air Corps in 1943 and ‘44. This remarkable documentary follows 93-year-old Vi Cowden's journey from rural South Dakota, where she learned to fly biplanes, to her two years in the Women Air Force Service Pilots (WASPs), for which she piloted 19 different types of fighter planes on enough trips to have circumnavigated the world 55 times. Healthy and lively, Vi last piloted a P-51 when she was 92.

Wyoming Community Media (WCM)
WCM produces the Cheyenne International Film Festival and The Shoot Out Cheyenne 24 Hour Filmmaking Festival as well as providing other digital media-related services. WCM doesn’t directly save whales or protect children, but empowers others to attain their goals and missions through training, digital media production services, fiscal agency, live event planning and implementation through social media marketing strategies.
Digital Media Production Services
WCM is a production company that can work within any budget and help
you meet your video production needs efficiently and with high
production value.
Social Media Marketing
WCM not only can produce top quality digital media that conveys your
message, WCM can help you get your message seen and heard through
harnessing social media like facebook, twitter and myspace. WCM can
work with you to meld social media marketing with your existing
advertising and outreach approaches.
Event Development and Implementation
WCM produces the annual Shoot Out Cheyenne 24 Hour Filmmaking festival
in the fall. The event attracted 21 film making production crews to
Downtown Cheyenne. The top 10 films were screened at the Lincoln
Theater.
Community-Based Training and Out of School Learning
WCM provides training services to students of all ages in Southeast Wyoming and beyond. Training may be on an individual basis or for groups.
Fiscal Agency – Co-Production – Event Production
WCM
sponsors and co-produces projects for individuals or organizations
without 501(c)(3) status. Non-profit status provides many benefits:
productions be covered under the WCM liability insurance, be eligible
for grants from foundations and the government, investors in your
project can enjoy a tax exempt donation as allowed by law.

The Call2ACTion links movies with local community-based organizations. This year Call2ACTion organizations are the Southeast Wyoming Intertribal Powwow Association, the YMCA Teen After School Program, The Laramie County Library Foundation, and VFW Post 1881. Call2ACTion gives local groups an opportunity to get their message out to audiences in the safe place of the arts.
